HopCell® human 3D cortical organoids are derived from human iPSCs, with relatively uniform size, shape, cell composition, and structure, as well as relatively mature electrophysiological functions. After about 90 days of cultivation, molecular markers of the six cortical layers of the brain, such as REELIN, CUX1, BRN2, SATB2, CTIP2, and TBR1, as well as intermediate neuron markers such as PV, nNOS, and SST, and astrocytes and oligodendrocytes, can be detected. It is currently the closest in vitro system to the human brain composition. HopCell® human 3D cortical organoids can be used as models for neurological diseases, drug screening, and toxicity testing.
